Salasar Balaji Fair is organized with great pomp every year at the famous Hanuman temple located in Churu district of Rajasthan. This fair attracts lakhs of devotees on Chaitra and Ashwin Purnima. The fair is managed in a very systematic and organized manner, in which the administration, police, Hanuman Seva Samiti and many voluntary organizations work together.
Salasar Balaji Fair is one of the major religious events of Rajasthan, which is organized every year on the occasion of Chaitra and Ashwin Purnima. In this fair, lakhs of devotees reach Salasar Balaji temple from all over the country for darshan. To ensure the convenience and safety of such a large number of devotees, the administration and Hanuman Seva Samiti together do efficient management.
Preparations begin on a large scale even before the fair is organized. Arrangements for cleanliness, drinking water arrangements, electricity supply, temporary rest houses, medical camps and emergency services are ensured by the local administration. The police department handles crowd control, security arrangements, CCTV surveillance and traffic arrangements. Help centers and information rooms are made at various places, where guidelines are given to the devotees.
Hanuman Seva Samiti takes the responsibility of food, medical service and guidance during the fair. Information is broadcast through loudspeakers for the convenience of devotees.
